D.M. GUAY
Reading

DM Guay is a former (very serious) journalist who now writes horror comedy. She's best known for the 24/7 Demon Mart series, about a corner store where the beer cave is the gate to hell.

She lives in Ohio, where she is trying to grow a 1,000 pound pumpkin in her backyard. She would have succeeded by now if not for her nemesis, a groundhog named Chonk. She is a retired roller derby player whose favorite things—besides books—are tiki bars, horror movie festivals, and cheese.

She was diagnosed with terminal, incurable stage 4 kidney cancer in 2017 and given six months to live. Spoiler alert: She didn't die and is in remission. Researchers now follow her around, trying to figure out why she's still alive. She hopes her good luck and weird genes can one day help cancer doctors figure out how to save more people.

You can find her at DMGuay.com, and at the bar after the event.

S.A. BRADLEY
